Select A License
Select the type of license you would like to attain below to learn more about what Kaplan can offer you in Washington.
The Texas P&C Adjuster license is the most prominent adjuster license in the country.
Once licensed in Texas, a non-resident license can be applied for, based on reciprocity rules,
in approximately 32 other states without meeting additional
licensing requirements.
Kaplan’s Texas P&C Adjuster Licensing course contains the actual certification exam
for the TX Adjuster license. You can satisfy your TX prelicensing requirement and pass
the TX certification exam at one time with one product without having to take the state
licensing exam.. Upon passing our course, you’re eligible to apply for the license.
Licensing procedures can be found on the Texas state requirements tab.
An individual residing in a state that does not require adjuster licensing,
including CO, DC, IL, IN, IA, KS, MD, MO, NE, NJ, ND, OH, PA, SD, TN, VA, and WI may
choose Texas as their home state and obtain the Texas license. Individuals residing in a
state that requires adjuster licensing may still choose to obtain the Texas license since
it is the most widely accepted license in the country. AL, CT, DE, KY, ME, MI, MS, MT,
NC, UT, VT, WA, WV, and WY currently allow a “designated” home state, such as TX. Please
check with your state insurance department about state specific requirements first.
By holding a TX P&C Adjuster license, you will also be approved to adjust in the following
28 states that offer reciprocity with Texas: AL, AK, AZ, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, KY, ME, MI,
MN, MS, MT, NV, NH, NM, NC, OK, OR, RI, SC, UT, VT, WA, WV, and WY.
